Next, examine the siding and paint. Inspect the siding for cracks, gaps, or signs of rot, especially in areas near the ground or around windows and doors. Look for peeling or blistering paint, which indicates moisture issues or an aging exterior. Additionally, inspect the foundation for any visible cracks or signs of shifting. 2. Interior Inspection
Next, head inside to the basement and crawl spaces. Look for dampness, water stains, or mold, and be aware of musty odors indicating moisture problems. Also, inspect for signs of pests, such as rodent droppings or insect damage. Be sure to check the walls and ceilings for cracks.
